About

Dr. Suglia is a native of Reading, PA. Although having been raised in a Roman Catholic family, he studied many other religious and spiritual paths. He entered the world of health care in 1982 when he started volunteering for the (former) Governor Mifflin Area Ambulance Association in Shillington, PA. In 1992 he became a Respiratory Therapist, and in March of 2000 he graduated from Life University in Marietta, GA as a Doctor of Chiropractic.

During the latter half of 1998, Dr. Suglia was trained in traditional Usui Reiki as Taught by Takata by Elizabeth (Betty) McKeon. During this period, he became a devotee of Siddha Yoga, a spiritual path whose primary teachings are based on Vedanta and nondual Kashmir Shaivism philosophies. He also became an active part of the healing ministry with the Atlanta Unity Church. It was then that he first became interested in becoming a minister. After having counseled many people with health issues over the years, he felt it was time to take his calling as a healer to the next level. With empathy developed through his own suffering from numerous ailments over the years, he knew he could offer much hope and comfort. However, no pursuits toward a ministry were made at that time because he felt the need to develop his hands-on healing skills with chiropractic and Reiki.

In May of 2001, Dr. Suglia moved to the Pocono Mountains region of Pennsylvania where he worked as an associate chiropractor and eventually opened his own practice. At the same time, he became friends with two local ministers who revived his interest in pursuing ministry as a calling. One minister was Chaplain Joe of the Transport for Christ mobile chapel, and the other was Rev. Fred Hensel, a wedding officiant ordained by the (former) Progressive Universal Life Church who currently is a hypnotherapist in Mount Pocono. Although he was in constant contact with both, it wasn't until the day he opened his own chiropractic office at the (former) Pocono Plaza Travel Center in Bartonsville, the same place where the mobile chapel was located, that he finally experienced the final call to action. The date was September 11, 2001.

That Tuesday was supposed to be a day of celebrating a new beginning. But being located only 81 miles from the World Trade Center towers in New York City, the grounds of the travel center were filled with mourners and stranded travelers. After being around Chaplain Joe and his staff as they counseled and prayed with people, and after a visit from Rev. Fred, Dr. Suglia finally decided it was time to become a minister himself.

On October 10, 2001, Dr. Suglia was ordained by the Progressive Universal Life Church. Since that time, he officiated many weddings and served in various healing ventures including the (former) The Wellness Interfaith Church located in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota. On November 10, 2007, Dr. Suglia was ordained by the Universal Life Church in Modesto, CA because it was more closely aligned with his spiritual views and because it allowed him to become eligible to officiate weddings in a greater number of states. Now residing in Shoemakersville, PA, he continues to work as a healing practitioner while offering his ministerial services with the utmost respect for people of all paths and traditions. In December 2015, he co-founded EarthSpirit Interfaith Ministry with his wife Becky who is also an Ordained Interfaith Minister.
